| Dear all, Thank you so much for your participation in TEDxHouston. There are a few key entities that deserve a standing ovation and more attention than we can ever acknowledge. The "magicians" as we like to say, that were behind the curtain and behind the stage, keeping the event on pace and on time throughout the day with pristine, technical beauty. Tim Thompson and Norma Thompson of Hot Pixel Action, together with help from their partners at Staging Solutions were running more computers than we could count. They made sure all the visuals on screen, all day long, for our presenters and our audience, were running - not just correctly, but with precision timing. On top of it all, they helped ensure our speakers were comfortable and still had a place to see the action before they went on stage. If you enjoyed the massive visuals and the ease in which speakers moved throughout their presentations, then these fine folks deserve your thanks. Paul Sedillo of Media 975 set the bar high for our home audience and simulcast venues. Through some of the sharpest technology, his amazing team not only controlled cameras, but made live cuts from all angles and gave our viewers direct feeds of the speakers' visuals with what looked like the greatest of ease. But we know better... It takes so much precision to give a home audience the best possible match in comparison to the live experience. If you enjoyed watching the live stream, then these fine folks deserve your thanks. Rachel Bush, together with Angela Dejano and a team of outstanding lighting and audio engineers, brought us an event that kept itself not just on time, but dare we say it, ahead of schedule. Rachel's stage management expertise was the glue that held this entire event together. We're in their debt forever, and without these sincere leaders, your experience would not have been the same. We hope you have a chance to take just one minute of your day and email them (all simultaneously) at magic@tedxhouston.com to show your appreciation. This team truly deserves your applause. Best wishes,
|
