| Dear TEDx Houstonites, Tomorrow will mark a week since we had the opportunity to spend some time together and share the TEDxHouston experience. We are humbled by the amazing response we've received from the community. It makes us all happy to know you enjoyed the presenters, and even happier to hear how you connected the concepts into a common thread. And not just one common thread, but a really immense variety of takeaways, which truly reflects the great diversity of people and ideas in our community. The most fulfilling part for us as organizers has been hearing about how in just one week, you are taking the ideas and connections made, and leveraging them in order to make our community stronger. Thank you so much for being open to the ideas presented, and for making new connections amongst each other. So who's ready to change the world? If you noticed the ReCompute (sustainable cardboard computers) that were around the theater and helping run the event all day Saturday, we want to remind you that founder Brenden Macaluso is giving away one of these beautiful machines to one lucky guest. All he asks is you answer the question - How will a new ReCompute help with your mission in changing the world? Take a moment to answer before the weekend is over (deadlines are extended through Sunday) and a winner will be announced next week. We wish you luck! http://www.sustainable-computer.com/tedx/ Best wishes, |
